The Kennel Club decided that several breeds had too many shows in which to win Challenge Certificates. So, in 1996 they revised the quota per breed and and as a result the Siberian Husky lost 6 Champion Shows. However, in time, the breed did regain their previous CC quota.

We now had a total of 21 Shows where CC’s were allocated for the breed.

The lost shows were;
WELKS; Southern Counties; Border Union; Windsor; LKA and Working Breeds Of Scotland.

Many felt that the re-allocation of Tickets was geographically unfair.
